Power over emotional stress

Emotional power recovery
The first step to getting back your power is to take out time to concentrate on yourself. This is not the time to start wallowing in self pity or to start casting blames on anyone. This is the time to look deep within you, rediscover yourself – your innate gifts and talents, your strengths, those things that make you unique, discover what an amazing person you really are; you can write them down if possible and remind yourself everyday.
Appreciate and celebrate yourself, go buy yourself something nice, date yourself so to speak. This will go a long way in developing your sense of self-worth. Try to stop feeling bad about yourself. When negative thoughts about yourself come to your mind, attack them immediately with positive words (not just positive thoughts).
The next thing you need to do is to break your isolation. Reconnect with those people who really love and respect you. Don’t run away from someone who you know can help you. It is most likely that you have convinced yourself that you don’t need to tell anybody what you are going through,  that it would pass with time (that was how you got into this mess in the first place) because by this time, you have lost trust totally in people, that is understandable.Talk to a counselor if you can find one or a trusted friend or someone who has some sort of positive influence over your life. Withholding your pain would only make you feel worse over time and may lead to more depression.
