Firefox 52 was released a week ago and it makes PulseAudio a hard reliance - meaning ALSA just desktops are not bolster anymore. Ubuntu utilizes PulseAudio as a matter of course (as most present day Linux disseminations do) so the switch won't influence most - however some Linux clients and distros do incline toward, for different reasons, to utilize ALSA, which is a piece of the Linux bit. Lubuntu 16.04 LTS is one of the distros that utilization ALSA as a matter of course. Lubuntu clients who moved up to Firefox 52 through the customary refresh channel were, all of a sudden, left with a web program that plays no solid. Lubuntu 16.10 clients are not influenced as the distro changed to PulseAudio.
